Every Kesha Studio Album (+Cannibal) Ranked Worst to Best

Image
If you've read my blog up to this point, you may be surprised by the title of this post. After all, not too many people are fans of underground music and Kesha. Well, I'm an exception to that rule (along with YouTuber Spectrum Pulse). Kesha's music is a lot of fun, and at times can have a surprising amount of depth, especially in some of her lesser-known songs. She can also be hilarious with her sarcastic sense of humor.           Because I love her so much, I figured I'd rank every album of hers from worst to best in my opinion. Now, normally for discography rankings, I'd only include studio albums. However, I'll also include her Cannibal EP in this ranking because one, it's awesome, and two, it had a couple of major hits for her in the form of We R Who We R and Blow. With that out of the way, let's get started with... #5. Animal                    It pains me to put A...

Ten Amazing Murder Ballads

Image
Anyone who knows my taste will tell you that I like some grotesque music. Hell, my two favorite genres are psychobilly and horror punk, both genres known for their horror-themed lyrics. I guess it's unsurprising, then, that I like me some murder ballads. A murder ballad, for those of you who don't know, is any song where murder is the main focus, and today I'm going to list a few of my favorite murder ballads.      Before we get into the list proper, allow me to set a few rules. One, for the sake of variety, I'm only including one song per artist. Two, these songs are in no particular order. Three, I'll try to include songs from as many genres as possible, that way horror punk and psychobilly don't take up the entire list. Got all that? Okay, let's get started with...      #1. Koffin Kats - Chainsaw Massacre     Okay, let's get the obligatory psychobilly song out of the way. Koffin Kats write some of the most grotesque lyrics in the ...

Ten Albums I Like from Genres I Usually Don't Like

Image
As those of you who have seen my previous blog post probably know, I listen to a wide range of music. Rock, country, electronic, folk, and even jazz made it on to my list of the most underrated genres. I also enjoy pop, rap, R&B, and even classical from time to time. However, there are some genres that I cannot for the life of me get into, whether it be because I find the genre formulaic, or because there's something about it that annoys me, or maybe a combination of the two.      That said, just because I don't like something doesn't mean it has no redeeming qualities. There are plenty of albums I like from genres I normally can't stand, and today, I'll be listing off ten such albums. These will be in no particular order. Let's get started.     #1. Daddy Yankee - Barrio Fino (Reggaeton)     Let me start by saying that I'm way out of my comfort zone here. I know next to nothing about Latin music outside of reggaeton. Maybe that's to ...

Ten Underrated Music Genres (That Other Music Critics Ignore)

Image
Hello, I'm Pat, and I read and watch YouTube videos from many different music critics, and I respect them a fair bit. Most of these critics cover a wide variety of genres, subgenres, subgenres of subgenres, microgenres, and subgenres of microgenres (if that's even possible), but as I was looking through top albums lists, I noticed that they have a tendency to ignore certain genres. This could be because they don't know about them, don't have much to say about them, or they just aren't to their taste, but whatever the reason is, these genres get swept under the rug a lot. Now, my tiny blog probably won't do much to fix that, but it never hurts to try.      Before I start the list, let me get some rules out of the way. One, these genres are in no particular order. Two, please don't comment anything along the lines of "why isn't x here? It's way more underrated than y!" This isn't a complete list of all the underrated genres. I'm...
